The challenge

A corporate website built around customers’ needs and a careers website that introduces the people and locations behind Konings.

Konings produces, fills and packages beverages for brands at home and abroad. The company has expertise in a wide range of processes and packaging formats, but its value to customers also lies in thinking alongside them: what does a brand want to bring to market, which solution is right for it, and which new direction is worth exploring?

The corporate website needed to better reflect that way of working. Previous communications focused mainly on what Konings could offer technically. The renewed website needed to start with what the customer was looking for, then guide them towards the relevant expertise, packaging options and people.

At the same time, Konings wanted to renew its careers website. The existing ATS managed vacancies and applications, but candidates also needed an appealing starting point: a place to get to know the culture, colleagues and different locations. The two websites needed to feel like part of the same company while each serving a different audience.

The brief for Zenjoy: build two connected digital experiences that bring the Konings story to life, and make the careers website work well with the existing recruitment system.

Our approach

Working together, with room for everyone’s expertise

Konings works with its customers to find solutions. We recognised that same attitude in our collaboration. We contributed to the strategic discussions and worked closely with Kingfisher marketing, which took care of the visual design, copy and employer brand story. Zenjoy translated that foundation into the structure and functionality of the two websites and handled development, project management and technical support.

The collaboration was constructive: we developed ideas together, with content, design and technology strengthening one another. That mattered because the websites needed to do more than look good. They needed to guide visitors smoothly towards the information or action they had come for.

A corporate website that starts with the customer

Konings’ technical expertise is still present on the corporate website, but it now serves the customer’s needs. Visitors can start with their beverage idea, explore the packaging options and read how Konings guides projects from the initial enquiry through development and production. Expertise in quality, innovation and sustainability has a clear place in that story.

The contact process follows the same approach. Visitors making an enquiry can immediately provide relevant details such as brand, volume and packaging. This gives the team more context for each request and shows visitors that Konings wants to find a concrete solution.

A careers website that gives each location its own identity

The careers website follows the same visual style but speaks directly to candidates. Employees talk about their work, and Konings’ values sit alongside the vacancies. Each location can show what happens there and what it is like to work there. This keeps Konings recognisable as a group while giving each local workplace its own identity.

The pages bring together stories, photos, information about the location and relevant vacancies. That makes it easier to move from ‘What kind of company is this?’ to ‘Could I see myself working here?’

Displaying vacancies while keeping the existing ATS

Konings already had a system for managing vacancies and applications. We therefore built the careers website as an appealing front end for that ATS. An integration brings vacancies onto the website. Candidates can search and filter by location, department and work schedule, among other options, read the details of a vacancy and apply through the existing system. They can also submit an open application to a specific location.

Anyone who has not yet found a suitable vacancy can sign up to hear about new jobs. The website connects the employer brand story with the practical steps of searching and applying.

During development, we refined details drawn from everyday recruitment practice: the layout of location pages, the placement of testimonials, the search function, the application process and the way vacancies are displayed. Together, we kept checking those decisions against the needs of candidates and the Konings team.

The result

Konings now has two live websites, each with a clear purpose. The corporate website shows how the company helps customers develop a beverage idea. The careers website brings the culture, people and locations closer to candidates and guides them from a vacancy to an application in the existing ATS.

What we delivered:

  • A corporate website that connects customers’ needs with beverages, packaging, project guidance and expertise.
  • A contact form that allows visitors to provide context for a specific production enquiry.
  • A careers website with the same visual style, featuring employee stories and pages for each location.
  • A vacancy overview with search and filter options.
  • An integration with Connexys for vacancies and applications.
  • A way to submit open applications and register interest in new jobs.
  • A manageable foundation in Nimbu CMS, with technical support after launch.

The websites show two sides of Konings: the solution-focused partner for customers and the employer behind the production.
