Non-profit & wellbeing
Digital products that support people without adding to the paperwork.
We work for wellbeing, patient organisations, inclusion, the social economy and helplines. If a digital product carries your daily operations, we’re happy to think along. For a campaign site, we’d rather refer you elsewhere.
What is a digital product for the non-profit sector?
Zenjoy builds and maintains platforms and apps for non-profit and wellbeing organisations, when standard tools no longer support the way they work. Think registrations, care pathways, planning and reporting for staff, clients and volunteers. We start from one achievable improvement and talk about accessibility, budget and management from day one.
Organisations we have worked with for years
The services grow. The tools don’t keep up.
The paperwork grows faster than the team can handle. Mistakes end up with the client, not just in a dashboard.
The solution has to be simple, accessible and usable offline where needed. A nice design only helps if people actually use the product.
Grants, inspections and annual reports need reliable figures. Reporting belongs in the product and shouldn’t be a Friday-evening job.
Fair enough. Before we build, we make clear agreements on handover, documentation and access, so you’re never stuck.
We know budgets are tight. That’s why we start small, with one process or one target group instead of digitising everything at once.
What we build here
- Platforms for daily operations: registrations, care pathways, planning and records. At De Wikke it’s about organic vegetables and a social enterprise for supported employment, not an ordinary website.
- Inclusion and findability: Digiwijzer brought a scattered offer together in one usable platform.
- Members, information and payments: at Spierziekten Vlaanderen the website and membership operations live together, without a pile of loose plug-ins.
- Mobile for the target group: Belgian Red Cross first aid apps and Noknok for young people aged 12 to 16. An app only when the situation of use calls for it.
- An accessible back office: at Fonar, visually impaired and blind staff use the system every day. Accessibility can’t wait until after launch there.
AI can lighten administration and guard data quality, with human review. Not to decide about wellbeing or rights. AI workflows
Connecting membership operations? Associations & federations. Building a patient-facing app? Digital health. Making a research model usable? Research.
Three organisations, three digital products
Organic vegetables, supported employment, registrations that add up
Wonen en Werken in Heverlee. The website is the face; behind it, the product supports the vegetable boxes, staff and seasonal operations. It’s far more than a brochure about social employment.
Digital inclusion offer in West Flanders, easy to find
From a scattered offer to one clear platform with Algolia, UiTdatabank and Nimbu. The problem wasn’t the website, but the lack of overview.
Information, members, payments, activities
A patient association with information and membership operations in one place. This case belongs here because of its audience, and on the federations page because of its membership operations.
Also: Belgian Red Cross, Doeners, Noknok, Fonar/Luisterpunt, Stop it Now.
Map one process, not a full digitisation programme.
In a first conversation we look at what people need to be able to do tomorrow and what still lives in Excel or a mailbox today. We also talk openly about governance, procurement and privacy.
Questions we often get
When the way you work is specific, a collection of standard tools often costs more time and produces more errors. And the knowledge stays with the one person who still understands it all. We can start small. For a brochure website there are cheaper partners.
Sometimes. We help draw up a clear project scope a jury can work with, or step in after a procedure. We don’t write a tender specification that only works for us.
We include accessibility in design, build and testing. At Fonar, the back office also had to be usable for blind staff. We agree on the relevant criteria and checks up front; a case is not a general WCAG certification.
Yes. A communications agency can develop the story while we build the product. We agree on roles clearly, so you don’t pay twice for the same thing.
Yes. As with digital health products, we first map the data flow and then define the features. AI doesn’t make autonomous decisions about triage or rights.
Should the digital product support your operations, or just polish the outside?
If it’s only about the outside, we’ll say so honestly. If the product supports daily operations, we look for one achievable first step together.
You’ll talk to someone who thinks along on substance. No obligation, no standard pitch.
