Ectosense, a young, promising pioneer in digital healthcare, has the mission to improve care for sleep disorders.
Ectosense contacted us to help create their first prototype for a mobile app to accompany their sleep apnea detection wearable. In the initial phase, it was crucial for them to quickly proceed with clinical tests and create examples to show investors.
These first developments led to next steps in our collaboration: they sought prototyping for other components of their treatment, such as a digital platform. Additionally, as a startup, they wanted to create a visual identity to present themselves to the world.
Creating prototypes and a unique brand
As a first step, we created a mobile app. This was used as a user interface to connect the wearable with the underlying system that Ectosense developed during their research. The strength of Nimbu, the platform we worked on, played a crucial role here - particularly as a central database for collecting and transmitting data while maintaining a smooth, user-friendly UX. Our software engineers worked closely with the engineering team at Ectosense.
Alongside the technical developments, our design team worked on creating a visual identity. As a startup, it was important for Ectosense to have an attractive brand to present themselves. We created a logo and house style. Based on this, we designed their public website, the look and feel of various components of their product (both digital and physical) and plenty of promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and banners.
From startup to ?
During the project, we laid the foundations for Ectosense to take their next steps as a company. The developed prototypes could be used for research and presentations to investors. After a positive investment round, Ectosense is now working hard on their leap toward becoming an established player.
Working with a startup has its own unique dynamic: the team's drive, innovation, and underlying mission create a fast-paced project. As a partner, it's a pleasure to contribute to this and especially to see our client grow.
